Where the Journey Originated
My name is Robert Duan Robinson. I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. Adopted at the age of 3, I spent my childhood in foster care until I was 14, after which I lived in various group homes and government residential facilities. During my time in foster care, I endured both mental and physical abuse. Living in group homes brought a mix of experiences—some connections proved invaluable, while others were less positive. These challenging environments shaped me profoundly, teaching me to love and accept people regardless of their backgrounds. They also instilled in me the crucial lesson of never judging a book by its cover. Above all, I came to understand the transformative power of encouragement, love, and support.
